This is not about making money with crytpocurrency. Any cryptocurrency. This is about getting something for your time, and the ability to have a look inside the world of cryptocurrency without risking any of your own money. While it would be theoretically possible to turn this free crypto into a vast fortune – if you’re that lucky you should just buy a lottery ticket.
I wanted to play in the world of bitcoin, but I didn’t want to spend any money on what seemed an especially risky market. Then I discovered bitcoin faucets, places that give away bitcoins in exchange for a web page filled with advertising. Not enough to get rich, but enough to start to get some experience with what bitcoins are about.
After 3 or 4 weeks I had $16 worth of bitcoin. Not very exciting and I promptly forgot all about it. Fast forward 4 or 5 years and bitcoin is back in the news for hitting record highs. I wonder where I left that $16?
After jumping through some hoops I got my bitcoin back. It was worth $300. By summer it was $450. Now I’m paying attention again, there’s just one problem – I still don’t have any money to invest and I’ve got more important things to deal with right now than watching ads for pennies. I also needed that $450 in my bank account, not bitcoin.
Enter Brave browser. Brave browser lets you earn a cryptocurrency called BATs just by surfing like you normally would. BATs can be traded for bitcoin, or any other cryptocurrency. You might remember seeing ads for Brave – how fast and safe it is. It is all of those things and I would consider using it just for those reasons but what I absolutely love about it is that I get to play around in the crypto world without spending any money, and that was the point all along.
Brave browser is available at brave.com
Here there be referral links and effort but also a lot more free crypto…..
Coinbase is an exchange: a place to buy and sell cryptocurrencies. It’s serious and requires the same level of verification as a bank. You’ll need to provide ID and selfies. And in return? Coinbase has several educational videos, starting with how to stay safe and how to use Coinbase. They pay you in crypto to watch the videos. Learn and earn they call it. Different currencies will also have introductory videos and will also pay you in that currency to watch them. So far I’ve been given $32 over half a dozen cryptocurrencies. This is not a get rich quick scheme, turning them all into cash in your bank account might not be as simple as it always sounds and be aware that verifying is an annoying process that can take days. However, that’s a bit more crypto to help learn and take very small steps in playing with. Not to mention someone is paying you to learn, which is always good.
more to come….
