I wanted to play in the world of bitcoin, but I didn’t want to spend any money on what seemed an especially volatile market. Then I discovered bitcoin faucets, places that give away bitcoins in exchange for a webpage filled with advertising. Not enough to get rich, but enough to start to get some experience with what bitcoins are about.
So here’s what I did. First, I signed up for a bitcoin wallet at Xapo. They are an exchange as well as an online wallet, so if and when you decide to leap cash in, they can help. And yes, I get some bitcoin for everyone who follows that link, sets up and verifies an account. I also get a kick back from most of the links below, but that’s just icing on the cake. I use these because of the payouts involved and that they are linked to Xapo – my one web based wallet. But yes, you have become part of my bitcoin collection scheme! Or at least I hope you have…
Here’s the handful I’m using at the moment, and the intervals between payouts.

This page will update as I add or delete sites to my own personal routine. My own routine will always be based around having tabs open in the background while I’m working on something else or surfing. I collect from the faucets on my way back from a stretch. If I learn of a better wallet or faucet the page will update. I’m new to this as well so user be aware.
For those that want to go crazy, start here – Bitsandwich. Over 100 faucets listed as well as faucets for DarkCoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin.
